I am on my first work trip ever! (not counting trips to shoot weddings that my family accompanied me to!) I left town this morning to head to Park City and Salt Lake City, Utah for my new job. I really love my new job a lot. Leaving was hard though, the kids aren't used to me leaving. Paiton cried herself to sleep last night, and this morning both kids and I cried all morning. My coworkers probably thought I was insane. What can I say, my kids are my best friends!
We got to the house in Park City and it's awesome! I have a room with a KING bed (I don't even have a king bed at home!!), my own TV, and bathroom, and the house has a hot tub! I have to admit that I feel pretty fancy laying in this giant bed alone watching whatever I want and updating the blog while I wait for dinner time to roll around!

Here's so recent pictures!
Quinn in time out saying "Don't you take my picture mommy! Don't do it!"
Paiton helping me to paint signs for the seniors on the BSU Women's Tennis Team. Those girls are so sweet, and so kind to my girl. They are great role models and I am so happy Paiton has them to look up to.
Just a happy baby in a bath!
At the tennis clinic that daddy ran
Watching the girls tennis match at Senior Day
Hanging out on the couch eating Oreos in a princess crown!
A boy and his dog.
This is where I work! Isn't it gorgeous in the spring!?
Playing in the sun
Mommy Quinny bagel date!
Grandpa Riggs and Paiton and Quinn. We sure love having Gma and Bpa so close, even though we don't get to see them as much as I wish!
At the zoo for Paiton's field trip
Quinn is always a fireman. Even when he's Spiderman.
Quinn wasn't ready to get out of the bath.
The kids started swimming lessons a few weeks ago. They LOVE it and the place they go to is fantastic!
Quinn started sucking his thumb. Silly baby!
Playing at the park!
Quinn is growing out of the Infant/Toddler program - which is how he gets his physical therapy sessions. His very last session with his PT/OT Amy was two weeks ago. He LOVES Amy. She is one of his favorite people ever. He picked out these flowers for her ("Amy would love red ones!") and signed a card for her. It was a sad day to say goodbye to Amy. She's been with Quinn since he was 1!
Quinn and I found this family of geese one day. They were so cute! We had just gone to the zoo a few days before and seen lots of geese, and Quinn kept telling me we needed to put these ones in the back of the car and take them to the zoo! Haha!
I can't get this one to rotate, but some art projects Quinn made at school!
A trip to the mall must always include a stop at the Apple store to play on the iPads!
My mom threw the kids an Easter party sleepover! She is so great about having fun little parties for them, and this time - Quinn got to spend the night! I was super worried (shocker, right!?) but he did great! He slept on the floor with the kids so he didn't fall asleep until midnight (5 hours after bedtime haha!) but he LOVED it. He kept asking when the slumber party would start! ;) My dad brought out the projector and played a movie on the wall. What fun memories for them!
Paiton and her tennis girls. Her very favorite "mate", Sandy, from Australia, is on the left by her. She brought the kids both a keychain from Australia and they were so excited!
Happy Easter 2014!!
I knew Quinn would just die over this fox Easter basket and I was right! He loves the movie The Fantastic Mr. Fox, and he loves the song What Does The Fox Say? I think in his mind the two are connected as both are referred to as "Mr. Fox".
He said "It's a Mr. Fox!" :)
Looking for eggs
Painting with their new paint sets. They didn't waste any time!
We spent the first half of Easter at the park with my family having a picnic, playing on the toys, flying kites, playing tennis, etc. It was lots of fun! Even though it was kind of cold we all got sunburned!
Then we headed to Matt's parents house for dinner and an egg hunt.
Quinn promises he is saying "cheese" and smiling in this picture. ;)
I just had to sneak this picture of Quinny sleeping. Some mornings I have to wake him up to get him out the door. It's not unusual for him to sleep 7pm-8 or 9 am. He's such a good sleeper! He's just getting so big so fast I can't even believe it! I love this boy to the moon and back. He's always so sweet too. He told me "It's ok you wake me up mama. I not mad mama."
Quinn does still get group physical therapy once a week through May. This week was rodeo week!
The kids and I went on a date to see the Bears movie that came out for Earth Day. The kids couldn't help but rock out to the music when we got there!
I'm totally obsessed with my kids, FYI.
One of my new favorite pictures. Most mornings a kid or two finds their way into the shower with me. This particular morning it was Paiton. I went to get her a towel and came back to her meditating. ;)
After which she proceeded to lay on my bed and take selfies!
"I'm a nakey baby!"
Snuggle boy.
Quinn also had his last meeting with his service coordinator. She was SO sweet to bring him cupcakes and a birthday card to say goodbye!
Paiton got her dance recital costume. And was pretty thrilled about it. ;)
Spiderman ran to the store with me!
The Oscar Mayer wienie mobile came to Meridian. We took the kids to see it and they gave out free whistles (thanks for that Oscar Mayer...)
More swim lessons!
It was safety week so they learned about life jackets.
Helping Papa mow the yard!
Yesterday I was totally selfish with the kids. I knew I was leaving today and I was sad, so I just hogged them! Matt had to work all weekend running a high school tennis tournament (in the rain and wind, bless his heart) The kids and I had our own fun - we met Grandma and Grandpa to see the wienie mobile, took lunch to Daddy and Kendrick at tennis, then they had swim lessons. After that we went to visit Nana and Papa and hand deliver their birthday invitation. After that we needed to run to Target so I let Paiton choose what she wanted for dinner (I was feeling lazy) and she chose Olive Garden. The three of us crammed into one side of the booth, sharing a bowl of chicken and gnocchi soup and just laughing at silly things. It will be one of my favorite memories. Paiton was "working on her manners" so she said and kept saying things like "Well thank you so much, sir" and "I would love more cheese, sir" to our waiter, haha!
They found a silly hat at Target and had to wear it!
I love my family and I sure can't wait to see their faces on Tuesday night!! Love them!
