3 Weeks

Last Wednesday Quinn turned 3 weeks old! (I am way behind, he will be 4 weeks old tomorrow!)
I have a video but don't have the cord to upload it from my phone right now but on his 3 week birthday he rolled from his belly to his back! I had started doing tummy time with him and that was only the 3rd time we did it, and immediately he rolled over! He thinks he's bigger than he is!
Not too much is new, Matt got done with school last week and is officially on summer break. He got a call from the City of Nampa and they asked him to be a site director for tennis clinics that will be going on - so he will be overseeing the lessons and everything and making sure things go as they should. He also was asked by my work to teach summer school, so he will be doing that at the end of summer.
I have just been trying to work a little at least while trying to get into the swing of working and having two kids and all that!
Paiton is still being Paiton! :) She is such a good helper and such a good big sister, we couldn't have asked for better.
She likes to "feed" her babies while I feed Quinn:
And she especially loves to snuggle her real baby!
Paiton has her surgery on Monday, a week from yesterday! Yikes! We are definitely NOT looking forward to it. My stomach hurts just thinking about her being put to sleep, and I feel so bad that she will wake up hurting! :( Please be thinking about her and hope for a quick and easy recovery.
Quinn is doing great! He still spits up constantly, but the last few days he will scream every time he eats until he eventually throws up what he just ate. I finally took him into the doctor today because I thought he had acid reflux like Paiton had as a baby, and the doctor agreed. Now that it's painful for him he will have to take some medicine every day to help with the acid. He will continue to spit up but shouldn't be in as much pain, so hopefully we can make him feel better and get some sleep!! He is still SUCH a good baby! We can't imagine life without him and little did we know - our family was definitely missing him!! :)
After all -
Little brothers are awesome!
On Memorial Day Matt and Cameron's boyfriend, Patrick, played some tennis and the weather was pretty nice so we went to watch. It was a lot of fun.

Time flies when you have two kids!! =)
Here are a ton of pictures from the last few days! Enjoy!

Quinn snoozing away
Paiton and Quinn "holding hands"
Curled up on Ema's lap
We got a new double stroller and I love it! We finally tried it out on a walk with our best friends, who just happen to live in our neighborhood!!
All four kids! -Graidy, Cohen, Paiton, and Quinn
Paiton kept checking on Quinn during our walk!
The only way I could think of to go grocery shopping and have room for food in the cart was to put Quinn in his wrap. Can you spot the baby? When Paiton saw me wearing this she said "Is baby Quinn back in your tummy?" :)
Matt and Brandon went shooting together. Look how cool Matt looks. Does he remind anyone else of Jack Bauer!? ;)
Shooting Brandon's big gun - an AR15
Tummy Time!! For the most part he doesn't seem to mind tummy time too much, unlike a little girl I know...
And of course, Paiton is always right there to keep him company!!
The other day we went to Bounce with the Lurcooks and had a lot of fun!
Daddy brought Paiton this little school chair and she just loves it!
More tummy time. Where does he think he's going!?
Relaxing in the Boppy
Taking a nap on Daddy
It is now officially Bon Fire season!! Woohoo!!! Last weekend we headed over to Brandon's house to have the first bon fire of the year!
All 4 kids:
Ryan LOVES to hold Quinn:
Cadon has literally ignored and refused to acknowledge/look at Quinn until now. Then he decided he wanted to hold him and give him kisses!
Fire time!!
Quinn sleeping through his first fire.
Snuggling with both of my kids!! :)
Ryan eating a jumbo marshmallow
Cadon REALLY wanted to snuggle with Uncle Matt
Then of course P had to get in on the action
Watching Spongebob
Quinn in a cute outfit that says "Introducing ME!"
This weekend we were supposed to have a warm day. We promised Paiton she could swim in her pool. It didn't end up being very warm or very sunny, but she went in the cold water anyway!

She has not tired of Quinn - still! She loves him so much!
Daddy covered in babies!

So far I have been doing ok being at home alone with the kids all day and some nights while Matt is at tennis. Yesterday was the first day that was really hard. Both kids were highly emotional - Paiton was being an absolute terror - doing everything I told her not to, back talking, just being mean. Quinn was not his usual self, he was very fussy all day and wouldn't sleep at all. Every time I got him to sleep he would immediately wake up screaming. Every single time I sat down to feed Quinn, Paiton decided she had to go potty right.that.second. I was annoyed, exhausted, and totally ganged up on. I didn't want to but I had to go shopping. I hadn't been grocery shopping since mid-April and we had no food, juice, etc. I packed up both kids and headed to Walmart. The trip actually went ok for the most part, Quinn slept on me in his wrap and Paiton "helped" me shop. It took a long time and by check out we were all done with shopping! I apparently chose the wrong check out line. The lady in front of me had four and a half billion coupons. One for every single item in her cart. By the time I realized this I already had everything out of my cart and onto the conveyor belt - there was no turning back. Eventually both kids started crying and screaming. I timed this woman and it took her over 27 minutes just to get everything scanned and paid for. And I didn't even start timing the moment she started, just when I became annoyed! I was about in tears when I left the store and it took every ounce of me not to scream at her for being stupid! Luckily, we survived. Barely.

2 weeks

Today Quinn is 2 weeks old! Crazy how fast time goes. He had his 2 week check up yesterday and everything was great. He weighed 7 lb 5 oz, which is 3 oz over birth weight! The doctor was really impressed and said that they want them to at least be back to birth weight by 2 weeks, so the fact that he was 3 ounces over birth weight combined with the fact that they were concerned about the amount of weight he lost in the hospital, was awesome. He is growing like a weed! :) He looked great and she said he is a happy, healthy boy. He did surprise her by rolling from his back to his belly with his arms trapped under him while she was examining him. She told us we can't leave him anywhere because he will roll right off, which we already knew, I just don't remember babies rolling before being even 2 weeks old!
We are getting into a new routine with him and I think things are going well. He is SUCH a good baby, and Paiton is by far a ton more work than he is! He is very sweet, calm, and mellow. He puts himself to sleep in his bed during his naps during the day. At night he has more trouble with that and doesn't like to sleep in his bed. We are working on that.
Paiton is still totally in love with him and is constantly making sure he's ok, talking to him, kissing him, giving him toys, etc. She does great with him and is a big helper.
This is what Quinn looks like on his 2 week old birthday:
And some pictures from the last few days:
Trying out his new swing, which he loves!
Paiton on the one warm day we had last week:
On our way to the doctor, he wasn't thrilled to be having his picture taken:
Yesterday we went and met Aunt Stacie, Kylie, Ethan, and Grandma Kathy at Just Kid'n Around to play. Paiton playing dress up:

In Paiton News - she unfortunately has to have her tonsils and adenoids removed on June 6. We figured that giving birth with no insurance, 4 days in the hospital for Quinn and the light bed, sleep study, and numerous other medical bills weren't enough, so we figured we'd toss in a surgery too!! ;)
We went and saw the ENT finally last week and she thinks it would be worth it to take Paiton's tonsils and adenoids out and see if that helps her sleep. She was quick to say this may not help (sigh) but that she hoped it would. We are soooo not looking forward to this and have been warned that it's really hard for toddlers to recover from this for some reason and that for 2 weeks she'll probably be pretty miserable. Luckily Matt will be off of work then for summer break, so that will be a big help!
