What a weekend!

Wow what a weekend we had! Matt had a districts tennis tournament this weekend so we were BUSY! We started Friday off by going out to breakfast at this fun little restaurant by our house. Then we headed to Matt's classroom and started hanging stuff up and making it "his". I meant to take a picture of him in it but totally forgot. I will do that next time. Then he had his first match for districts that afternoon at 4:30. It was HOT. I thought I was going to melt. It must have been about 100 degrees, which means it was at least 110 on the courts. It was miserable! Matt and his partner lost that match - their first loss all season! What a time to lose. He was pretty bummed about that. Saturday he had matches at 9:30 and 1:30 and won both. It was nice during the morning match but toasty again during the afternoon one. Then we went to see Step Brothers that night, which was pretty funny. Sunday the matches were at 9:30 and 3:30. It was another LONG HOT day. Even hotter than Saturday. Luckily we had packed our cooler and that helped. During Matt's first match Paiton learned how to kick me in the ribs. Then she learned how to shove her foot up and there and just leave it. Needless to say spending 8+ hours three days in a row in a lawn chair watching tennis in 100 degree was not the most comfortable thing I've ever done. We had a lot of fun, But were soooo glad when it was over.
Here's a few pictures I took while we were there. They were taken with my little camera so they're not fantastic, but at least you can see Matt in action! Isn't he cute!?

Our number card for Flying Pie Pizza (the greatest pizza ever) had a sticker on it that said "Beware the Bump" haha too funny!

My Large Ear of Corn

July 24, 2008
Yesterday was our 1 year 1 month anniversary! Yay! We like to celebrate all those little ones, it's fun! Not too much has changed up here. Matt and I are excited for this weekend. His tennis team made it into Districts so we will be having a tennis weekend! He has one match tomorrow, two on Saturday and two on Sunday. I will definitely have to try and take some pictures over the weekend. Blogs are more fun to read when there's pictures! :)
Tomorrow morning Matt and I are going to go to his school and work on decorating his classroom. Yay! He's so excited to start his teaching job. Yesterday we had to go to a "benefits fair" and sign up for health insurance, life insurance, etc., which made it more real and he is stoked! So be thinking about him as the school year rolls around. I know he'll be awesome with the kids and it is such a perfect job for him!
Paiton is doing really well. I obviously don't know what other babies are like, but she is very active it seems! She is constantly rolling and moving and kicking. Now you can see it on the outside of my stomach too! It's fun to watch and we will sit and stare at my stomach waiting for her to do something. Matt is already so in love with her - he's going to be the best daddy! We can't wait! And of course we need to know what size she is this week soooo - she's the length of a large ear of corn! I love corn! How perfect! My little strawbaby is growing up so fast!!

Here are the pictures I promised! Yazmeen is the daughter of some of our best friends - Brett and Fiya. Brett was the best man in our wedding. This was at the birthday party for another of our friends' babies. He turned 2! Happy Birthday Eli!
Then Franklin is the baby of another of our good friends. He is going to be Paiton's boyfriend! :) We are going to swap babysitting services with his parents, Jon and Kari. We love them to death and can't wait to have a little playmate for Frankie. He's lonely!!
Then there are a couple pictures from the last two ultrasounds I had. They are profile ones. Go ahead and check them out and see how cute our baby is already! She must be adorable if we can already tell from her ultrasound that she's cute!! There were some more but it was too hard to put them up because you can't really tell what they are unless someone points out the important parts. One of is of the bottom of her cute little feet! We'll just have to wait until she gets here and put a real picture of her tiny toes!!

Me and Yazmeen on Eli's bday Matt and Franklin - Paiton's boyfriend!
Paiton's profile at 22 weeks. Look at that little nose! She is already the most gorgeous baby I've ever seen!
Profile at 23 weeks. This is when she was on her back with her legs in the air. Silly little baby!!

Dr.s Appointment

So I had another ultrasound yesterday and everything looked good! Matt's mom came to see Paiton and of course the little booger wouldn't do anything funny like kick or punch like she usually does! She did have the hiccups as she does frequently though! And she was laying on her back with her legs sticking up straight in the air. She's a graceful little thing just like her mamma!! The doctor said everything looked good. They have no idea why I'm having contractions but it' alright because my cervix is closed and looks great. So that's good news!
We got some more pictures of our gorgeous baby girl and I will put them up later so keep an eye out for new pictures!!

Update

I talked to my doctor today and she is just a little bit worried about the contractions. I am going back next Tuesday so that they can check my cervix. I will have an ultrasound to measure it and check on Paiton and to make sure I'm dilating or anything bad like that. She told me until then to drink TONS of water and to make sure I'm not exercising or doing anything I don't need to. So we'll wait and see but please cross your fingers that everything turns out fine and little Paiton stays in much longer!!!!

1.17 pounds!

I had another appointment yesterday. I had to have another ultrasound because they couldn't get all the measurements last time. It took awhile this time - little Paiton is as stubborn and sassy as her mama! Uh oh!! We managed to get all the measurements but one. They couldn't measure my cervix because I was having contractions. I have been having them for a few weeks now, the ultrasound tech didn't seem too worried but I am! I'm going to call the doctor today and find out what is causing them. The tech also told us that P weighs 1.17 pounds! She's growing so big!!
Cameron went with me and liked getting to see Paiton roll around in there! She sure is active. She didn't stop moving the entire time. We were cracking up because Paiton would pull her legs in to her chest and then kick them out really hard. She was doing that over and over! It was pretty funny. We got another picture of her little profile and she is already the most beautiful baby I've ever seen! She has the cutest little button nose! I also made the tech check to make sure that she is still a girl - and she is!! Yay!! I got another "girl" picture haha.
Just wanted to update everyone. My family left to go to Virginia today to visit Brandon, Carissa, and Cadon! We are super jealous but hope they have fun!!

4th of July

I hope everyone had a good 4th of July!
We had fun. We spent the day at Roaring Springs with Mom and Dad. It wasn't super hot but it was hot enough! Then we went to our friends, Brody and Crystal, to have a BBQ and watch the fireworks downtown. It was a lot of fun. Today I am photographing a wedding and Matt and Spencer are going to play a new Xbox game they've been waiting for. Tomorrow I am not sure what we'll do, maybe hit up Roaring Springs again!
The dogs seemed to have done fine while we were gone, we were worried that they wouldn't like the loud noises of the fireworks, but they were happy to see us when we got home!

Spaghetti Squash

Hi all! I had a doctor's appointment today. Paiton's heartrate was 147, it is usually right around here and has been 147 a couple times in the past. Too funny!
The doctor measured my stomach (funny, I know) and it is exactly where it should be, not too big, not too small! I also have gained 8 pounds so far this pregnancy. Not too bad since I had been losing weight through the first and into the second trimester from being sick. Not anymore though! I have to go back on Tuesday for another ultrasound because they didn't get all the measurements they needed the first time, so YAY I get to see Paiton again! Cami is going to come with me this time so that she can see P too!
The doctor did say that some of the cramping and pains I've been having are probably from being on my feet too much and getting dehydrated. Go figure! All I do is drink and pee, drink and pee, so I don't know how I could be dehydrated! At least it's nothing bad! Guess I'll try to drink even more! They also gave me the yucky looking orange drink that I have to drink before my next appointment in August and then they'll do the test for gestational diabetes. Hopefully that turns out ok! I will put up some belly pictures soon and some from 4th of July too! Hope everyone has a good weekend!!
