Very guilty look :)

Pumpkins and more crawling!

Last night we had some friends over to carve pumpkins!! It was a lot of fun. Kim, Reid, and Cohen came and we carved the night away! The babies played a little, when Paiton wasn't whining!!
All ready to carve:
Reid, Kim, and Matt, hard at work:
With our pumpkins:
Mine is on the left - it's Paiton with her seven teeth and a hair bow, Matt's is in the middle, then Paiton's is an alligator!
All the pumpkins
The Fitch's and their pumpkins!
Paiton was done at this point and was less than thrilled we were taking more pictures
All lit up!!
AND!! Paiton is doing more crawling!! I noticed this morning that her legs were getting caught in her clothes when she was trying, so I took her clothes off and she took off!! Even after I took this video she was doing even better just crawling around the living room! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CRAWLING!

Well at 7:50 last night (10/26/09) Paiton took her first little crawls! Matt and I were watching her try to get a toy and sure enough, she moved her legs and arms a couple times!! WOOHOO!! It brought tears to my eyes!
Our friend Jake came over last night and he was helping us try to get her to do it again. I took this video, which is VERY dark, of her trying to crawl! Enjoy!!!

We are hoping that she just keeps doing it and takes off! Everyone says we'll be sorry when we have to chase her, but at this point we definitely won't be sorry! We would love to chase a crawling baby! So cross your fingers that she keeps going! I can't get her to do it at all this morning so I hope it wasn't a fluke!!

State and Dane's birthday

Well we had a busy weekend! So busy in fact, that Paiton did not get one single nap in!! Uh oh! Saturday we went to Cami's state soccer game. They lost 4-2 but it was fun to watch! And they still got second place, which is awesome for a school that's only in it's second year! Good job girls! We got all dressed up for her game in purple and black!
Pai's shirt said "14! Go Titi!"
Cami is number 14 - this is when they were all being introduced before the game.
P and Rykley. (Or Ricky, as Cadon calls him)
Spencer took over photographer duties while I snuggled Paiton in the COLD and he got this good one of a goal:
Ryan all bundled up:
After the game and SO not happy!
Cameron getting her second place medal:

Finally - a smile!

Then on Sunday we went to Dane's third birthday party where they had a blow up jumper which we ALL enjoyed! :)
Giving Daddy good loves!
Oh man, I love this picture of Amy.
Watching presents being opened:
See - EVERYONE enjoyed it!

Titi is ready to catch the babies!
Making silly faces at Titi

Last night one of Paiton's toys was singing "If you're happy and you know it clap your hands" and Paiton would start clapping! It was the cutest thing! She also has a new thing she does that I need to try and get a picture of. If she gets sad she will do the lip really bad, and then she will start to cry but she covers her mouth with her hand. It is SO sad and cute and pitiful all at the same time!
Here is a funny video of Paiton going down the slide by herself like a big girl! Go P!!

Off to STATE!

Rocky Mountain High School made it to the Girls Varsity State Championships! This is only their second year as a school and apparently last year their team was not good! What they needed was Cameron and now they're off to state!
Yesterday was the quarter final game and it was so exciting! They played Timberline and at the end of the game it was tied. They went into a ten minute over time - no one scored. They went into a second ten minute over time - no one scored! So they went to a penalty kick shoot off. They each got 5 shots on the other goalie and whoever got the best out of 5 goals would win. Rocky Mountain made their first 3 shots and Timberline made...zero! They won!!
Today was the semi-final game. They played Mountain View, who they lost to during the season. Mountain View scored first, then Rocky Mountain scored. Then....CAMI SCORED!! She scored with a header with what WOULD HAVE BEEN the winning goal! However, they called off sides! It caused an uproar in the stands and apparently was a very bad and incorrect call. There was a big problem with the refs making horrible calls throughout the game. So at the end of the game it was tied! They went into over time and.... no one scored! So they went into a second over time. At two minutes they stop the clock so that the girls don't know how long is left (so they don't try and run out the clock, etc.) so I'm not sure of the exact time, but with what couldn't have been more than a few seconds left in the second over time one of the other girls fouled one of our girls so she got a penalty kick! She made it!!! It sailed right over the goalies head and THEY WON!!! It was very exciting and two very nerve racking games!!!
Tomorrow is the State Championships so wish Cami luck! We will all be there cheering her on of course and I hope to update again with a Championship picture!
The girls as soon as they won:

One of Paiton's many cute outfits :)
Being silly during lunch
Playing peek-a-boo with Mommy
Watching Cami's game
Tonight Mom and Dad came out to our house to watch Paiton so that Matt and I could go on a date! I think this is only the 3rd time we have gone out without her since she was born! It was a lot of fun and Paiton was a good girl for Nana and Papa. We are always happy to get home to her though and get some snuggles!

Best Friends!!

Here is what we've been up to the last few days!
I have spent a lot of my time researching babies that don't crawl at Paiton's age. Basically what I can find is that some babies just never will and no one really knows why. In doing my research I have discovered that Paiton may not actually qualify for the Infant/Toddler program or for physical therapy. Some of the main points (it seems) are whether babies her age can pull themselves to stand, stand holding on to something, and walk holding your hands. She can definitely do all these things. That makes me feel less worried and less focused on crawling. I would love for her to crawl, but I don't want to be so focused on that that she never walks! So we are just taking it day by day and seeing how she does. Yesterday she did something awesome! We were playing at our friends house (more on that later) and I was sitting on the ground. She was sitting next to me and next thing I know she had used my leg to stand up and was trying to crawl over me. Never before has she tried to crawl over something that was in her way! I think playing with Cohen and watching him get around like a pro is really good for her! We are going to make our playdates a weekly thing! She also learned to blow kisses the other night which is pretty dang cute!!

On Monday I babysat Cohen while Kim went to work for a little while (this was all pre-scary appointment!) Paiton had a blast playing with him and Cohen was SO good!
It's fun to get into all the toys!!
I LOVE this picture. They stayed like this forever just looking at the pages of the book. Cohen would turn the page every so often. So cute!!
One of Paiton's favorite things in the world is books. Yay! She takes after us! She loves to look at the pictures and turn the pages, but she especially loves being read to! I love to snuggle on the couch with her and read book after book. Sometimes she just wants to read by herself though!
And be prepared to say "Awwww!!!" Here is the cutest dress ever made in the world!!!

Don't you just love it!? She of course had to do the tights, shoes, and side ponytail to go with it!
Yesterday we went over to Kim and Cohen's house to play. We were going to take the babies to this cool pumpkin patch we wanted to try out and do Cohen's one year pictures. First we played at the house. Paiton LOVED his ball pit!
Someone's birthday is in a couple weeks....I see a ball pit in her future! :)
Cohen thought it was fun to climb all over Paiton and then he decided to snuggle with her!
They are just too cute.
After playing at their house we got ready to head out to the pumpkin patch. We drove out to Marsing (because I took a wrong turn) and then back to Caldwell and when we got to the place....it was CLOSED!! It was like a 30-40 minute drive all for nothing! So we left, only to find a sign for another pumpkin patch that was open! So we turned off and there it was: the pumpkin PATCH. That is all it was. A little square of land filled with pumpkins. No hay ride, no picture spots, no nothing! Bummer. So we went to Moxie Java and chatted while the babies played with our keys :) All in all a good time! Sorry for the craziness Kim!!!

Now a couple videos I have to share!
This first one is of Paiton reading. I caught her the other day laying on the floor looking at her book just talking away. It was so cute. She saw me taping though, of course!!

This next one is hilarious. Cohen has a little plastic slide at his house. I put P on the top of it and slid her down. Well she just loved that and wanted to keep doing it! Then she figured out that she doesn't need Mommy to push her down, she can scoot her bottom and do it herself! So this is a video of that. Also in there one of Kim's dogs barks and Paiton clearly says "Dog!" Very smart baby we have here!! Enjoy!
