New Bed For Pai!

Hi! Paiton is now almost 7 weeks old! I can't even believe it! The videos above we thought were cute and wanted to share. The first one is of Paiton after I got her dressed one morning when she was 6 weeks old. She is always in a good mood in the morning, we love to play with her then, she's just so sweet. The other one is of her in her "Big Girl Bed". She hates the bassinet still so we decided to get rid of it and get her a Pack N Play. She slept in it last night for the first time and did AWESOME! :) It was great to not have to worry about rolling over on her and I actually got a little bit of sleep! Woohoo!! It was emotional for me though because she is getting so big so fast!! She loves, LOVES the giraffes that spin above the bed. She is really good at watching one until she can't follow it anymore, then turning her head to find the next. How smart is that!?!? It made me sad to realize how old and big she is already, but I can't wait for what's to come.
Everyone up here is doing well. Tomorrow is Spencer's 16th birthday! Happy Birthday Boo!! We will be spending New Year's Eve with my family as we always do to celebrate his birthday! We will definitely be getting some champagne and it will be extra special having Paiton here for her first New Years!
Matt is taking me on our first post-baby date on Saturday! His Christmas present to me is dinner at one of our favorite "fancy" restaurants, Chandler's for steak! My mom is watching Paiton of course, I don't think I could leave her with anyone else! I don't know how I'll leave her as it is! So we will definitely have pictures to post from that, and also from Spencer's bday/New Year's I'm sure!

Here is a squirrel that likes to eat the berries off the tree in our front yard. He's cute.

Christmas Day!

Ok, be prepared for lots of pictures!! Also, look at the post below this one to check out Christmas Eve pictures.
Christmas morning we woke up to tons of snow (still) and we got ready to make the trek to Meridian to Mom and Dad's house early in the morning so we could be there before the kids woke up. We got there safely, although I nearly had a panic attack the entire way, Matt did a great job of keeping his girls safe! We woke up the kids and headed down to see what Santa had left! He had brought a rocking horse for Cadon, a play set for Paiton, and an Xbox 360 for Spencer and Cameron. Everyone was very spoiled!! We also got passes to Roaring Springs again this summer and it will be so much fun to take Paiton! Woohoo! Thanks Santa!! :)
We opened presents, then took a break to eat Christmas breakfast, which is probably my favorite meal of the entire year! Then back to opening more presents!!

Cadon loving his awesome rocking horse!
Dad opening the present we got him! For anyone who knows him, you know it's the perfect one! We got him some time at a flight simulator place out in Eagle. Dad thinks he is a pilot already, so we figured this would be perfect. It's where they actually send pilots to train and learn to fly. He is way excited to go!
Cadon rocking out on the drum set he got from Carissa. Oh boy! Drums to play in Nana and Papa's house! How exciting! He really liked drums after he watched Papa playing!
He also got a guitar and insisted that Papa play with him! Here is their band photo
Paiton had THE CUTEST Christmas outfit I put together for her! Her little red sweater dress, tights, Uggs, and big girl hair made her even more irresistable!

After playing with new presents for awhile we headed over to Matt's parents for a little bit:
This is one of our family Christmas pictures. We took other ones not so close, but Mom got an identical camera to ours for Christmas and I think that we accidentally used hers so I am not sure when I can get them!

Then it was over to Aunt Lisa's for a big family dinner and some games of course!! We had so much fun. Mom really wanted us to spend the night so that the fun could continue so we did!

Aunt Lisa likes to hold Paiton when she cries. This is how she usually ends up holding her becuase Pai loves it!Mom and Cadon, Carissa and Paiton
Paiton eventually got hot and so we lost the tights

Christmas Eve

Hello! Well Christmas is over now :( Here are some pictures from Christmas Eve. We went bowling with my family and had some lunch. Then we headed over to Mom's and I helped her get some stuff ready for Christmas morning. Then Matt, P, and I headed home where we had some good family time! :) We watched a movie, made popcorn and snuggled together. It was a lot of fun!

Snow Day!

I know I have been updating this like crazy and bombarding you all with pictures. Sorry! There's not much else to do with a new little one and snow outside! I literally had not left my house since Saturday morning until today when Paiton and I went to help Matt shovel the drive way!! But first things first. Last night (12/22/08) Matt gave Paiton her very first bottle! Not only that, but it was also Matt's very first time feeding a bottle to a baby! It took her only a few seconds to figure out what to do with it. But once she did she did great!! We have quite the stock of frozen milk so Matt can feed P whenever he feels like! Or if I need to leave to go somewhere without her. (Haha. Like I could leave her!) So here are a couple pictures of Daddy feeding Pai for the first time! It was very sweet and Matt really enjoyed it!

Look at these eyes!
Uncle Spencer is still staying with us and he likes to help take care of P. What a good Abba he is! We have had him since Friday but Matt says he can't leave because he likes having his brother live with him :)

Matt needed to shovel (again) so Paiton and I bundled up and headed out to help him. We discovered awhile back that Paiton really loves being outside in the cold. I don't know why but it's really calming to her. So I bundled her up in some layers, put her in the Baby Bjorn (which she loves now) and out we went!! She loved it!!!! She was cooing for a few minutes just hanging out, but then she fell fast asleep! So we obviously had to take some pictures to document her first time in the snow!!

Keilah and Kotah, as you might remember, are huge fans of the snow. They move too fast and act crazy when they're out in it so this was the only picture I could snag. It's a Keilah snowball!

The little snow family :) These perfect paw prints were frozen in the ice under the snow. Matt uncovered a ton of them while he was shoveling the back porch. Too funny!!

Taking a shoveling break...Our cute house all covered in snow.

I tried to take a picture of Paiton myself, didn't turn out great but you can see that she's just snoozing away all bundled up!!Me and my girly out in the snow!! Love that little snuggle bunny!
Paiton unwrapped after her snow adventures, still sleeping. What a cutie!

She didn't stay asleep too long, I should have left her all bundled up! Look at how gorgeous this baby is. Can you even believe something this pretty exists!?!?!

We are definitely looking forward to Christmas Eve and CHRISTMAS with little Pai. Tomorrow we are going bowling and out to eat with the family, FUN! We have a tradition of going out to the movies every year since I can remember on Christmas Eve, but we decided to change things up this year. First there are no good movies out right now, and secondly I don't think Paiton would appreciate having to sit through a movie! So we'll do some bowling and that should be a good time! Then Christmas day we will head over to Mom and Dad's bright and early like always so we can open presents, eat breakfast, and see what Santa has brought! Yay! Can't wait to update you all on how it goes! Merry Christmas everyone!
