Our week

Here are some pictures from our week. We didn't do anything too exciting! We hung out with Grandma and Grandpa some. Aunt Cheri came into town to stay with Amy until after she has the baby so we got to see her and Dane. Dane just loves Paiton. He tells her he loves her and likes to touch her. He was showing her all the toys at Grandma's and showing her what they do. Grandma said "Hi baby girl!" to Pai and Dane said "No! She's MY baby girl!" haha. Too cute. He is going to have a baby sister, Alyson Marie, on June 18! Woohoo! Another girl cousin for Paiton to play with!

Grandma's neighbors were having a yard sale last weekend and they had this giant exersaucer for sale. At the end of the day I guess it didn't sell because it showed up on grandma and grandpa's doorstep with a note that said "For Paiton" on it!! They gave it to them to keep at their house so Paiton would have somewhere to play! Even strangers love this little baby!! Slowly but surely Paiton is taking over everyone's houses with her stuff!! I guess she is super loved! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for Paiton's jumper and exersaucer and thanks for letting them take up all your room!
In her pretty summer dress:
She has lots of these. I'm kind of a baby dress addict.
Here's a funny story. Grandma and I had taken Pai to a used kids store called Kidz Again. On the way home Paiton was fussing, then all of the sudden she was quiet. When we got home we found out this is why she was quiet:
She had gotten ahold of my wallet and pulled out all the receipts. It was pretty funny.
Paiton ate a graham cracker for the first time on Friday. We were hanging out with Nana and Papa and I was eating them and I asked if they thought she could eat one yet. So we gave it to her and she LOVED it! It was cute and messy!
Yumm....want some!?
Thursday was also Kathy's birthday so we went over there. Stacie and Jared taught us a fun game. I think it's called P Shoes? You play it in the backyard and it involves a frisbee, which I am scared of, so I suck pretty bad but it was really fun! So happy belated birthday Kathy! I somehow managed to not take any pictures that night, which is a first for me. I got to hold Kylie while she took a nap but we were getting pretty sweaty outside! It was fun to hold a tiny baby that just lays there, my baby is bigger and wigglier! Friday was Brandon's birthday and he turned 23!! Wow! Happy Birthday B! We miss you and love you so much!
Ok now the most important part of this blog! Matt had his second certification test this morning and....

HE PASSED!!!!

Way to go Matt! We are so so proud of you. We knew you could do it! 2 down, 1 to go!!! Congrats babe!!

BSU photo shoot

I bought Paiton a BSU onesie and she looked so cute we had to do a mini photo shoot :) She was being stingy with the smiles though for some reason! Enjoy!
I love this one:
Posing already! Think she gets her picture taken a lot? Haha.

Bonfires and Baby Teeth

Well I have some news! Paiton is getting her second tooth! It's on the bottom, right next to her first one! What a big girl!
We had a really fun weekend. Friday night Matt and Spencer went and saw the new Terminator movie and I hung out at home with Paiton. They said the movie was pretty good. Saturday we went to Costco, Cash N Carry, and Los Betos with my family. Then we went for a walk to the park and played on the swings. That night we celebrated Kathy's birthday at Tucanos, which I already posted pictures of! Sunday Matt had tennis in the morning as usual and Paiton and I headed over to Mom and Dad's. We hung out, went on a walk, and played some games. That night we had a bonfire - Paiton's first! It is a summer tradition we always do on the weekends and it's really fun! Aunt Lisa and Grandma and Grandpa came over too.
Here is Paiton wearing Daddy's tennis hat:

Swinging at Nana and Papa's on her and Cadon's toy:

Sitting with Aunt Lisa who came over just to visit her!

Mom and Dad also got a badmitton (I have no idea how that is spelled) set and we played it all weekend, it was lots of fun! We lost some birdies and the volleyball over the fence though! Oops!
Here is graceful Spencer:

Then it was bonfire time!

Monday was nice because no one had to go to work! Matt and his dad put a new light in our kitchen that morning. Thanks guys!! Then we headed over to Moms and Mom, Cami, and I took Paiton on her first bike ride! It was lots of fun. There was a lot of screaming involved but once she got used to it she really liked it! Thanks Papa for hooking all the gear up! It was a blast and I can't wait for more bike rides on the weekends. We had to leave all the stuff at my parents house because we just don't have room for it! Plus it's more fun to go with mom than to go alone!
Is she a Lurcook or what!? Haha.

Thanks everyone for a fun weekend!!
This Saturday Matt has his second test. He has three tests to take so that he can get his teaching certification. He can only teach for one year without it. So please keep him in your thoughts this weekend! It is over all subjects, K-12th grade!! Eek! I could never do it and I'm so proud of him and all the studying he's been doing. I know he'll do great!

Tucanos

Last night we went to this awesome restaurant we love called Tucanos. If you've never been there, GO! It's a Brazilian grill where they bring all the meat around to your table on skewers. It's all you can eat and it's delicious! I am proud to say that both Stacie and I out ate the boys! We went with the Locke side of the family for Kathy's birthday, which is on Thursday.
Here is Paiton before we left to go eat:

Our little family!

I took baby Kylie so that Stacie could cut up her food and I got some loves! She ended up falling asleep for me! Yahoo!

Paiton sat in her highchair like a big girl and ate Cheerios!

Tonight we are looking forward to having a bonfire at my parents house! Fun! It's Paiton's first one and we are excited to break her in to our summer tradition!

While Paiton naps...

Here are some pictures I have taken this week. This is Paiton's real little black dress that Grandma Riggs bought her, not just a onesie that says it! :)

Matt's Grandma Doris bought Paiton these super cute shades! Doesn't she look awesome!?

Here are Pai and Daddy just hanging out!

Cameron had a big presentation at school today that she has been working so hard on for a really long time. She had to research Earnest Hemmingway and read a bunch of books of his and write a report. She also had to give a speech. Doesn't she look so cute all dressed up!?
This is Paiton's favorite thing to do with her binky:
She has learned that if she puts the tab part in her mouth she can chew and chew and it doesn't fall out. It must feel really good on that little tooth!
Last night was Matt's tennis party for the kids he coaches. We went to Fast Lanes because one of the girls parents own it. It was a blast! The kids had so much fun and Matt and I had fun racing too while one of the moms held Paiton.

This is just something funny I wanted to share. Since it's been nice Mom and I have been hitting up the yard sales on the weekends looking for stuff for Paiton for her to keep at her house. (Remember our great deals from last week!) Well one week we decided it would be fun to get Cameron something really ugly and put it in her room to "surprise" her. This is what we ended up with:

His name is Johnny :) You should have heard her scream when she came home to find Johnny hanging over her bed!!

Last weekend we got these two beauties and hung them up about a week apart, gotta spred the fun out!!

I also have to brag a little! Our little nephew, Ryan, learned to roll! He is just 5 weeks old but he's a tank! What a cutie! We love you Ryan and can't wait to meet you!
There is nothing cuter than a nice, chubby baby!! Gotta have those rolls!
Paiton is still eating really well. She LOVES to eat big girl food and it is so fun to feed her! She is so smart, she learned right away to open her mouth for the spoon and we love watching her open and wait like a little baby bird! She is also drinking out of a sippy cup. We got her the kind that you have to bite to get the water to come out so that it doesn't spill when she throws it on the floor. In hind sight it might not have been the best idea, because she figured it out immediately and now she bites me even harder than she used to while nursing. OW! She also enjoys a bottle of watered down apple juice every night before bed! We can't believe how big she is getting!
And one last picture of the most beautiful girl alive!
Bye for now!

Oh and...

I forgot a couple things.
I wanted to mention that at the Taylor Swift concert another opening act was Gloriana and during two of their songs they were also filming a music video! Sooo, who knows, maybe they got us in it? We were on the floor after all!
Also, over the weekend Paiton learned to say "Mama". She has been saying it for awhile but now she will repeat it after us! It's so cute to hear her say "Mama mama mama!" She is still eating well and we discovered she hates squash! Everything else she likes so far!
That's all, just wanted to add those little things!

Taylor Swift concert

Before I forget I was told I forgot to mention that Matt's tennis team that he coaches at his school won districts! They got first place, so they remained undefeated this year! Way to go Coach Matt!!!! I am so proud of you!
Now, last night Cami and I went to the Taylor Swift concert. It was soooo fun! We made T shirts to get to meet Taylor, but we got there too late and they had given away all the passes. But we did get passes to meet Kellie Pickler, who opened for Taylor. It was fun! We got to meet her and get her autograph. Mom likes her so I got her to sign my ticket and I gave it to Mom.
We had a great time and during the concert Taylor Swift walked down the aisle Cami and I were sitting on! We got to touch her and take a paparazzi type picture of her walking past us!! It was a blast! Thanks Mom for such a fun night! Paiton did so good at Nana's! Nana wanted to watch her so Matt stayed home and studied for his upcoming test! Paiton didn't even cry and was such a good girl! I am so relieved!!
Here are a ton of pictures!
Before we left Paiton got in a nice, long nap with Papa!

Here are our shirts. They said "Take us to Taylor Swift-ly!" Haha

Here are our passes to meet Kellie Pickler
