One year ago today, I looked like this.
I spent HOURS trying to dance Quinn out at my cousin's wedding - to no avail.
As we celebrate his Birthday Week I'm soooo saddened but soooo thankful he is here and part of our family. He is amazing and I love him with all of my heart!!

11 Months and nearly 12!!

This post is WAY too late. :(
Quinn turned 11 months old on April 4, and now his FIRST birthday is one week from today. That fact makes my heart break into a billion pieces!! He's my sweet, sweet little baby boy and I don't want him to grow up! I want to freeze my kids as they are!
My heart breaks at the thought of my tiny baby turning 1. I can't even believe it. I have NO idea where the year has gone but I am so thankful for Quinn. He has completed our family and is AMAZING in every way.
I am going to do his one year post soon so I won't put too much here, but just know that my children are nothing short of fabulous.

He's a pretty quiet boy (hello, his sister is a child prodigy, there's never a second for him to get a word in!) He doesn't say too many words - mama, dada, ball. He LOVES to wave and waves at us all the time and at people we pass in the store. He waves out the door at the dogs and to people on TV! When I lay him down for a nap he waves bye bye to me, it's the sweetest thing ever! He has two different sounds he makes when he wants food - one means he wants food and one means he wants a drink! His favorite drink is his Vanilla Coconut milk.
He is a very silly boy and his personality is great! Couldn't ask for better! He loves to laugh and be tickled, and he just is so sweet. I have never met anyone that just radiates sweetness the way that he does.
Without further ado - here are his 11 month pictures, from about 3 weeks ago! Oops!

And here he is going to town on a banana!! :)

Chalk Photos

My friend Liz is a genius.
She had the idea that for my next Mini Photo Sessions we do it together and do chalk pictures - they're popular on Pinterest right now and I thought it was a great idea!! She's a fabulous artist and the other night they came over and we brainstormed and did a couple practice pictures!

This one is to match Quinn's birthday theme! I think I'll blow it up and hang it at his party! You can't see, but the boat says "USS Quinn - 1"
Then we moved to the blacktop which worked MUCH better, and Liz came up with a tree swing idea for the girls!! (When we do it for "real" I will use a much taller ladder so that I can look down directly upon the kids as I take the picture, rather than from an angle.)

I love each of these girls so much!! They have so much fun together and I've loved watching them all grow up the last 3 1/2 years! (Shelby - on the far left - and Paiton - far right - are one month to the day apart!!)

 BFF's!!

Easter 2012

Wow, STILL never posted this...oops!! And I have NO idea what happened to the pictures from our Lurcook Easter??? Agh!!

Forget it. Don't judge me. These are our Easter pictures. UNEDITED. Yup. I wish I had them time. I just don't. We will deal with it. ;)
Paiton and I decorated eggs together one afternoon. Ema and Nana stopped by and visited us while we did.

The slacker Easter Bunny didn't hide the baskets this year. Also his darn paw prints didn't stick to the table very well!! Easter Bunny fail!
[You will notice in the middle is the cup Paiton planted her magic beans in. She was convinced they would grow into a Mermaid Tale 2 Barbie. I told her probably a sucker. She was pretty sure it would be a Barbie. She won, can't have her thinking the Easter Bunny sucks.]

Quinn was very excited about his first Easter. ;)

 Enjoying their baskets
 Cute kids!!

Our holidays are always stretched between two families. There is no family nap for us like I've read on so many other blogs!! We have too much fun for that! ;) As soon as Easter baskets were opened we headed over to the Lockes. Chris has to drive back to Utah for work at 1 so we had brunch and Easter egg hunts and stuff there first.

Waiting for the outside egg hunt

It was a really nice day so we got to enjoy some outside time!
After all that we headed to my Grandma's house for Lurcook Easter. It was just our kids since the Lurcook's were in Virginia.

These aren't from Easter, they are from this weekend, but I just wanted to share Quinn's bedhead! It's out of control!! :) He is SO sweet and SO cute all the time! Even with poufy hair!!
He also LOVES Paiton's tennis racket. No joke.
