He did it!!!

{There is so much to update about, but right now, this is the very most important!}
He did it!!!
He's been working on it for a looong time.
Tonight our sweet baby Quinn crawled on his hands and knees for more than 2 steps!! He crawled the entire length of a slip n slide, and then more in the house!!
I have a video of it even!
His goal from the Infant/Toddler program was to crawl on hands and knees by 18 months, he'll be 15 months next week!!
YAY!!! I can't even say how proud we are of him!
It doesn't seem like a big deal, and perhaps in the grand scheme of things, it isn't; but it is so hard to know that he's so behind. I see little kids his age toddling around and it really hurts my heart. I cherish this time because once he's walking he'll lose that "baby-ness" that I love so much. It's just hard to know that your child needs help to do what everyone else is doing. It makes me sad and teary just to type it. There's no way to put into words how important, special, and perfect Quinn is to us. He is perfect, completely. He is SO sweet, and we just can't get enough. I can't ever not be kissing him, or smelling him. ;)
So, in all his glory, here he is, CRAWLING!!!!!

(It won't upload for some reason, click on this to see it!)

As Matt pointed out on the other blog, I forgot to post his win from this weekend!
He and Katie (his coworker and mine and Cami's coach) won first place this weekend!!
He won a gift card to a local tennis store!
Good job guys!!

And while I'm posting about tennis - tonight I won my first ever tennis match! Woohoo! It was so fun and I played pretty well, so much fun! :)

What a weekend!

We had SUCH a fun weekend!!

I need to first start with last weekend though.
Matt played in a tennis tournament that combined kids and adults! He said it was pretty fun, this is he and his partner, and they won first place! I don't even know how many tournaments that makes for him getting first place this year? All he does is win!
Isn't his high school partner cute!? Don't worry, I know that at the end of the day Matt enjoys coming home to his much older, much more out of shape, much worse tennis playing wife. ;)

Back to this last weekend! It technically started on Thursday night. Matt and Brandon bought tickets to the 3:30 AM showing of Batman. Before that they watched the other ones, played video games, and drank energy drinks to get pumped! ;)
Not to be left out of all the fun, Paiton and I went on a girl date! We went to USwirl and got ice cream and visited with family at Ema's house!

Friday Paiton and I made some homemade raspberry jam with fresh raspberries grown and picked by Maryann Yearsley - Amy's mom. It turned out delicious. This is half of what I made. I made two batches which turned out to be 4 - 16oz tubs and 6 - 8 oz tubs!!
Quinn looking fantastic in his "Captain Adorable" tanktop. :)
Friday night my parents babysat because Matt's parents invited us out on an adults-only evening!! It was SO fun!! We took the kids to Nannie and Papa's and headed out with the other Mom and Dad! We went to Gino's for dinner and OH MY GOSH. SOOO good!! I already can't wait to go back. It was super delicious! Then we got in the mustang (top down of course) and headed downtown. We walked around and got some drinks at Bonefish.
Then we cruised around a little and headed home to pick up Quinn. Mom was already babysitting the boys for a slumber party, so Paiton stayed and had a slumber party with them! Thanks Nana and Papa!!
They sent me these pictures while we were gone:
Quinn crawled up THREE stairs by himself!!! The kids were helping him by bribing him with toys! :)
Papa set up a drive in theater for them by putting their movies on the wall with a projector!!
So lucky!! Ryan, Cadon, and Paiton snuggled in! :)
Saturday morning Matt had to go play in another tennis tournament - this time he was playing with his co-worker (and my coach) Katie - and they were representing their office!
Quinn and I went and gathered Dutch Bros for all the kids and took it to them at Nana and Papa's house and played there for awhile.
Mom, Cami, and the kids and I went out to Gordman's and Target that afternoon. It had been awhile since we'd done anything together! It was fun!!
Sunday was a BLAST! Matt had to finish up his tennis tournament, so the kids and I headed out to Banks with my family to play at the beach! They'd all gone before, but this was the first time we were available to join them! They kept calling it a beach and Paiton kept saying "Stupid Idaho doesn't have beaches" (gee, wonder where she's heard that. Whoops!)
When we got there I was shocked! The sand was REAL!! Not chunky rock, dirt sand like at Sandy Point, but completely soft sand!! We were in HEAVEN.

Quinn LOVED and was completely obsessed with the sand. All he wanted to do was crawl in it, eat it, shove it in his eyes, roll in it, and cover his legs with it!
This supermodel was a fan of the sand as well.

Maya loved playing ball in the river!

 Handsome Ry Ry.

Quinn was SO happy to sit in the water and play in the sand/mud. He was so content!

Papa brought this pool for Quinn in case the river was too cold/fast for him to swim with everyone else. :) Carissa buried it in the sand for him so he had his own little spot!
Turns out my kids are TOTAL river rats. They loved it. Paiton just swam and swam and swam.

We thought Quinn might like to be part of the action and come swim with us, but he was sooo mad that we pulled him out of the sand!

We had so much fun. We can't wait to go back! We ate lunch, had snacks, swam, and played in the sand. Cadon and I caught 9 minnows with our hands and kept them in a bucket for the kids to see. It was lots of fun!
On our way home we stopped for ice cream in Horseshoe Bend. Quinn was SO tired he fell asleep in the car on the way there. I think he was still sleeping while we had ice cream because I gave him his cone and he just kept shoving it into his binky! We had to take his binky out for him. Silly boy!

We are alive!

We are way overdue for an update. Sorry 'bout that. So, here's a few weeks worth of phone pictures. :)

First, a video of Paiton "Conga Dancing" as she calls it. She does this often and her eyes are always closed. She says that's just how it's done and frequently talks about her "island dance". :) She's seriously the cutest.

In Costco the kids just couldn't keep their hands off each other. I like this picture because you can see the kids holding hands!

Aunt Cheri and Uncle Ron are here visiting. They brought Kali and Trevor with them. These three girls are all 3 and a few months apart! They wanted to make silly faces.
Kali, Alyson, Dane, Paiton, Trevor, and Quinn
On Sunday I had a photoshoot in Hidden Springs. Matt and the kids came with me and we were going to go get coffee after. When we got there there was a bike race going on, turns out Matt's dad was racing in it! It was fun to watch and we went to lunch at Lulu's after and got ice cream at Fancy Freeze!
I shot most of his race, so I'll have pictures to come, but here's one for now:
Quinn totally hijacked my shake!

 Playing hide n seek:

Quinn is still just as obsessed with tennis as ever!
A couple weeks ago the kids and I went to the new park in Meridian and played on the toys and had a picnic!

Quinn thinking it's fun to stack edamame on his cup lid!

Powdered sugar donut face.

Paiton dressed herself this day.
Driving home one night the sun was bright RED. I'm sad this is the only picture I could get, but my camera was at home.
This is one of my FAVORITE pictures in the whole wide world. I LOVE these boys and they are so handsome!
Fireman Paiton with her fire hose! ;)
Paiton playing the violin (eyes closed on purpose!)
Quinn playing the drums! We have a band! ;)
Sleepy baby!
So handsome!
I got to shoot my first birth a week ago. It was SO fun. Before I took the kids to Kathy's (thanks for watching them!!) we made a donut stop at our favorite donut store!
Here's one of my favorites (so far) from the birth:

And the daddy even offered to take a picture of me with newborn Clare!
The kids had fun at Grandma's house while I did the birth shoot!

More tennis!

Quinn shaving with Daddy!

Cami and I had our second tennis match, and we got to play together! Our parents came to cheer us on and Dad snuck a picture.
Before our match:
One of Paiton's favorite things: "chalking"
Quinn is making SO much progress! He can now pull himself up on his knees and steal snacks! :)
Yesterday I cut over 13 inches off of my hair! It ended up being more than enough to donate to Locks of Love! That was cool!
Quinn now loves the stairs and can even get to his feet!

We are SO proud of him and all his progress!!!
