Update

We really haven't been up to much...
This is Matt's first week out of school. He doesn't have to go back until mid-August.
This weekend we had a bonfire at Mom and Dad's, quite typical for summer! Cadon was sick and slowly since then everyone else has been getting it too! It's just a bad cold, runny nose, sore throat, body aches, the works!
Paiton has it the worst out of the 3 of us right now. She has such a bad runny nose and I think her throat is hurting because she keeps sticking her tongue out and saying "Owie". So sad! :(
Today we were in the car and her nose was running so bad. I looked back and saw her purposely smear her hands through the snot and then proceed to rub it in all over her face. Matt said it's called the Mucous Facial, apparently it's all the rage in Europe! :)
Paiton and I have been feeling so bad the last couple days all I have to show for it is this one sad picture:
We finally got dressed around 4 pm yesterday to go to the store. Then we just let her sleep in those clothes. Figured they were as good (and clean) as jammies!
She is still taking good naps in her big girl bed:
And of course Howdy (what she calls Woody) and Buzz must join her. She also has recently decided she loves Jessie from Toy Story. I made her a promise that we'd get her the Jessie doll that Target has after I got paid. And she remembered! Today when I told Matt we needed to go to Target because I had something I needed to get Pai he said "What is it?" and Paiton answered "Jessie!" So cute!
We tried having Paiton sleep in her bed at night, and she woke up around 11:30 and didn't make a peep. I just happened to check on her (called it Mommy Intuition) and found her standing in the middle of the room. This worries me because I don't want her trying to navigate the stairs in the dark or something. So until I get a baby gate or something for her door she's only in there for naps!
She still loves to color and now she loves chalk! She had a lot of fun coloring on the driveway with me with chalk one day when it was nice. (Those nice days are FEW and FAR between here this summer!)

She is growing up right before our very eyes. Literally. She loves her cousins and DAILY asks "Go see Ry Ry? Go see Cadon?" She also frequently asks for her Nana! Matt shows her our wedding pictures and she can identify everyone, which we think is pretty good since they're 3 years old! She can name: Mommy, Daddy, Nana, Papa, Titi, B, CaCa (Carissa), Abba, Baby Cadon, Grandpa, and Grandma. She is so smart!
Today we drove past a poster for the new Shrek movie and she pointed to it and said "Shrek!" We are not sure how she knows that since she's never seen a Shrek movie, we don't even own any!
We love this girl and all her shenanigans!! :)

Sorry I have been MIA from blogging this week. First I lost my camera. (Well not really lost. Just put in a really weird spot that took me about 5 days to remember where it was.) Secondly we're all sick now. It started with Cadon having a bad cold and then suddenly everyone else fell sick too. By everyone else I mean myself, Paiton, Cami, Matt, Ryan, Brandon, Carissa, and Lily. Could it be because 3 year old boys sneeze and cough everywhere and are little germ factories? ;)

Big Girl Bed!

As everyone knows, Paiton hated her crib. She just never liked it, from the time she was born. I figured it was time for it to stop taking up space and I tore it down and set up her big girl bed yesterday!
She was a big help:
I got it all made up and was making a big deal over her big girl bed! She kept saying "Cool bed! Owls! Whoooo!" It was very cute. Nana bought her this owl bed set a few months ago. She loves owls, and I love owls, and we knew she would be excited about it!!

Birthdays and a busy weekend!

Thursday night we celebrated Brandon's birthday! It actually wasn't until Saturday, but he had to work a 16 hour shift Saturday so we did it early!

Papa and Uncle B flew the helicopter for the kids, see it above Grandma's head? Paiton (as you can see) thoroughly enjoyed it!

The boys played a game of horseshoes.Friday night was Kathy's birthday, so we went to Tucano's for dinner (YUM!!!) and then headed back to their house for presents and cake! Grandma Doris, Kathy, and I played some games of Yahtzee and in the first game I got 4 Yahtzee's for a total of 616 points!!
Paiton loves to sit in this little opening in their wall unit and this weekend she taught Kylie how to get in there and sit too.
Grandpa and Daddy were working on Grandpa's new car, but Paiton decided she wanted to drive!

Mom and I had a project this weekend. I wanted to make Paiton a dress that Stacie had made for Kylie and said was easy. So we borrowed Aunt Lisa's sewing machine (thank you!) and went to work.

So cute! Paiton picked out the fabric, of course! I have a bunch more fabric to make her some more, it was so easy! (Although it may be less easy this time without the help of my mom!)

L-L-L-L-Lola!!

Wow, I need to get back into blogging more often! I take too many pictures of this gorgeous girl to only post every few days!! :o}
Last weekend we hung out at Grandma and Grandpa's one night and played some games.
Paiton insisted on having her shirt off, and was walking around with one hand on her hip posing for us. I don't think she knows she's cute! ;)

Showing me the difference between "bo bo" and "binky"
~Cadon calls his binky a "bo bo" and always has. Paiton calls hers a "binky". Well they are different shapes, Paiton has always only taken the Soothies and Cadon uses the Nuk ones. Apparently Paiton thinks that anything shaped like Cadon's is a "bo bo" and anything shaped like hers is a "binky". It's so cute that she can tell the difference. She now insists on having her binky in her mouth, but carrying a bo bo at all times.

She still loves her Toy Story and Dora. They are definitely her favorite characters. Although she has recently taken a liking to Elmo as well. She has diapers with Elmo on them and gets very excited when she seems them! She says "Oh Elmo!!"
Yesterday in the car I just thought she was too cute holding Woody's hand. (Or Howdy as she calls him. One of the cutest things ever is still when we say "What's Woody say?" and she says "Howdy howdy!")

At our last swim lesson:
Matt actually got to come today for the first time!! We were so happy! He left work for a bit to come see Paiton in swimming action! He even took some pictures for us! Thanks for coming!
It was hilarious because Paiton spent most of the class trying to show off for her daddy. She was dancing in the water and looking over at him to make sure he was watching. So cute. This girl sure loves her Dada.

The last two nights Paiton has insisted on wearing a Dora shirt to bed. It's a size 2T so it's huge on my girl who still wears 12 months clothes! However it's fine if she wants to wear it to sleep, but it's NOT fine when she has a fit when it's time to put real clothes on in the morning! This girl loves her Dora!!
(I think she thinks I can't see her if she closes her eyes!)
I found Paiton the other day laying Buzz on this and saying "Night Night Buzz!"
She has figured out how to take her shirts off (which is especially nice when we're in the middle of Target!)
I wanted to share this cute picture thing Matt made me for Mother's Day (with the help of his class!)
And in other Matt related news, his tennis team that he coaches won the District title for the third year in a row! They finished undefeated!! Way to go!!
I also have some stories to share (of course!)
THINGS SHE SAYS:
-Matt taught her to walk around the house "calling" her binky if she can't find it. So she'll walk around yelling "Dinky!" until she finds it!
-She calls q-tips "tickle tickle tickles" because every time I clean her ears after a bath with one I say "tickle tickle tickle!"
-The other night she woke up around 11:30 just ready to go! She was telling big stories and laughing! At one point I said "Say whaaaat?" and she looked at me and said "What?"
-She has such good manners, always saying Please, Thank you, and Welcome.
-One day we were at my mom's and Cameron's purple blanket she always lays under was on the couch. Paiton walked over to pat it and saw there was no one there and lifted it up and said "Where's Titi?"
-She says "Nother one" when she wants another cracker, cookie, kiss, etc.
-We passed the water fountain in Nampa today and she said "Wa wa! Cool!" (Wa wa is water!)
-She knows the following animal sounds: Owl - hooooo, Monkey - ooh ooh ahh ahh, Tiger - rawr!, Doggie - woof woof, Kitty - meow, Gator - chomp!, Woody - Howdy Howdy! Seriously, GENIUS!
I think that's about it for now. As usual she is perfect. And I know it's true. I can't even tell you how many people comment on how beautiful and perfect she is. One lady put it perfectly when she said "Her features are all just so perfect. She is the most gorgeous baby I've ever seen!" So true. Matt likes to say that she was made using the perfect recipe and that she was cooked the perfect amount of time. :)
And in case anyone is wondering, the weather in Idaho is terrible. Pouring rain and so cold. I hope summer gets here and fast because we have Roaring Springs passes and an outdoor pool at the raquet club calling our names!!!
