Paiton's Birthday!

We now officially have a one year old! Paiton's birthday was a big success! We had such a fun day and here are about a million pictures to prove it!
We started the day out with a birthday candle in her breakfast! Yum!
Then we put on her super special birthday outfit:
It's her party, and she'll cry if she wants to!

Then we took her out to a big girl lunch at our favorite place to celebrate important events, Mona Lisa.
She got a grilled cheese sandwich and ate the whole thing!
And she loves oranges we discovered!

We then headed over to Monkey Bizness to play! It is a big indoor play area with lots of toys and blow up things to climb on! It was a lot of fun. Nana, Uncle B, Aunt Carissa, Cadon, Ryan, Aunt Lori, and Aunt Lisa all met us there to play.
This was a really cool plastic treehouse that the kids liked. I love it and want one!
Crawling through the tunnel
Riding the duck
Aunt Lori and the birthday girl!
Playing in all the toys:

"Hey....where's she going?"
Uncle Matt and Ry Ry French Fry:

It was very tiring to play on all the toys!
(Especially since this birthday girl didn't have a nap all day!! She must have known it was a special day and didn't want to miss out on anything!)
Paiton now wants chapstick on anytime I put it on myself and it is so cute!
Then it was time to head to the party! We had her party at the YMCA. I rented the party room there and we had all the kids go swimming after cake and presents!
Paiton's very own birthday cake!
And the big cake!
Complete with alligator, of course!
LOTS of people showed up to Paiton's party and we are so happy we have such great family and friends to celebrate with!
This picture doesn't do the amount of presents this girl got justice. It was like Christmas!
Opening her very first present!
We had lots of helpers with the presents, Cadon, Zayd, and Eli all wanted to help!
Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday dear Paiton, Happy Birthday to you!!
In her very cute, personalized bib from Grandma Doris! (Who couldn't make it to the party because she was sick! We missed you Grandma!!)
Time to dig in!
First bite!
(Paiton was actually quite a clean cake eater. Most of the cake on her face was courtesy of her Daddy and Titi Cami!)
The after picture:
Getting washed off in the sink:
Time to swim!!
Brandon, Me, Paiton, Lisa, and Koby. Paiton was VERY tired at this point! She just wanted to rest on me in the water!
Most everyone left and then it was just us, the Mosely's, and Crystal, Brody, and Eli. That's when Paiton got her second wind! She desperately wanted back into the water, so in we went! She had fun sitting on the side of the pool and then "jumping" in to me to catch her! She had so much fun. We then headed to Costa Vida with our friends to grab some dinner before going home. We walked out of the Y to snow!! Eek!
When we got home this is how Paiton looked:
And she didn't wake up until this morning!
One more thing I wanted to share is this poem that Aunt Carissa wrote Paiton for her birthday! I think it's very good and sounds like it belongs in a card!

A year has gone by,
How time has flown,
We can't believe
How you've grown
You're such a joy
And so much fun
We cant believe you're turning ONE!!!

Thanks Carissa! We love it!

This weekend we have about a million new toys, books, and clothes to go through once Mom and Dad bring them over! We had to load up their cars because all the stuff wouldn't fit in mine! To everyone who couldn't be there we missed you! Grandpa Riggs couldn't make it because he wasn't feeling well and we missed him! Paiton sure has lots of people that love her very much. THANK YOU to everyone that came and celebrated with us! It means so much that so many people love our little girl almost as much as we do! ;)
