Get Well Brandon!

As most of you know we had quite the crazy/scary week!
On Tuesday night Brandon got really sick. He couldn't breathe and had severe stomach pains. Mom and Dad headed over to their house in the middle of the night but before they got there Dad had Carissa call 911 because Brandon couldn't breathe.
The paramedics took him to the ER where they couldn't figure out what was wrong with him. And ultrasound was normal and they didn't think it was his appendix. They sent him home. A few hours later he was still in pain and having trouble breathing so Mom took him back to the ER. They were starting to worry it actually was his appendix so they called in the surgeon, who ordered a CT scan. I don't think anyone was expecting what came next. The CT scan showed a fluid filled tumor in Brandon's abdomen that needed to be removed immediately. That night he was rushed into emergency surgery to have it removed. They wouldn't know anything else until they got in there.
After his surgery we learned that the mass had been adhered to his small intestine and they had to remove a foot of bowel as well as the tumor. The tumor was filled with fluid and had calcifications floating in it. They took his appendix as well, just in case. Why the heck not?
It was a major surgery and he has a big incision from his belly button down to his pubic bone. He got discharged from the hospital yesterday and is now at home resting. He will probably not be able to go back to work for 3-4 weeks as he recovers.
Luckily he has lots of people that love him and are helping take care of him! My parents have done EVERYTHING they can to help. They have taken care of the boys day in and day out and took off work to do anything they needed to. Luckily I was able to shuffle some stuff around and be around to help with Cadon and Ryan too. Boy, 3 kids is a lot of work!!
Here are some pictures:
Brandon the morning after his surgery:

Trying to get a picture of Paiton's cute shoes started a tantrum for some reason:

It's definitely hard to entertain kids in the hospital! Here were our efforts:

Cadon took this one:
We thought this was hilarious. Paiton was writing on her notepad and was talking to Papa at the same time, like she was asking him questions. It was so cute!
I think Pai would have played for hours taking change in and out of the little slot on the vending machine:
All this excitement wears babies out:

My little girly girl insisted on me putting on her Dora sunglasses as soon as we got in the car. She actually left them on the whole car ride and then some!
Now when we get in the car she wants them on.
New tricks are fun:
Paiton takes after Mommy and Daddy and loves her Dutch Bros! She gets a smoothie!
That was our week. Hopefully Brandon is feeling better very soon!! We love you B!!!!!!

Yikes! I have missed so much since having a baby. I'm glad everything turned out all right.
