Fun Weekend!!

We had a pretty fun weekend!
For a LONG time now I have been craving a peppermint chocolate chip shake from Chick-Fil-A. We just got Chick-Fil-A in the BSU sub a few weeks ago, so Friday night we headed out with our friends, the Lesters, to eat there and to go to the Idaho Botanical Gardens Garden A Glow - which is where they put a bunch of Christmas lights in the Botanical Gardens.
We got to Chick-Fil-A on the college campus only to find out it was an Express one - only 4 menu items and NO shakes!! It was still good and we always have fun with the Lesters. They have two girls and Paiton loves to play with them. She asks me daily where Shelby and Auni are!
After dinner we went to the Garden A Glow. It was a lot of fun. Liz has this really cool double stroller, which she said we could borrow when Quinn gets here!! A double stroller is one thing I was dreading getting. They are so big and take up so much space and are hard to push. Not this one! This one was so cool! It's almost like a double decker, check it out:
Plus she said the seats can be moved to a bunch of different positions and that one goes totally flat for a newborn! So cool!! Thanks Liz!!!
The girls were bundled up and we were ready to walk!
It was cold, but they had cool fire pits set up through out:
After the Botanical Gardens the boys (who are seriously outnumbered at this point - 2 boys to 5 girls!) decided they needed a snack. We went to TGI Fridays and they got some appetizers and the girls got some brownie sundaes. Delicious and warmed us up!
Thanks Lester, for a good time - as usual!!
On Saturday we ran a couple errands and then Matt's parents headed out to see Paiton, who had some very important calls to make before we left:
We ate some lunch and walked around Costco and Target, where Paiton talked Grandpa into getting her a couple snacks! Then we went to pick out a Christmas tree! Paiton actually spotted it and said "There's my tree!" and we figured she should be the one to pick, so that tree it was!! It is a perfect tree and I love it so much! She did a very good job picking it out! She likes to refer to it as "My Christmas tree!"
It was raining all day, so we had to let it dry out in the garage for awhile.
Saturday night Kendrick came over to watch UFC fights with Matt, and Liz and I took Auni and Paiton to see Tangled in the theater! Paiton has been BEGGING to see it since the previews started months ago. She was SO excited to go. We bought popcorn, of course, and settled in to watch the movie! Paiton was so cute, during each preview she would say "Is it Tangled yet?!" and when it finally did start she started giggling and just couldn't wait!!
Here is a really dark picture of her sitting with her popcorn in the theater I took with my phone:
Well the girls loved it and so did Liz and I. Definitely one we'll be going to see again, and buy when it comes out! Paiton especially loved the horse and would just crack up whenever he was doing something! So cute!
When we got home that night Kendrick helped Matt set up our tree (thanks!!)
On Sunday after some drama with the lights I bought, I finally got them put on:
Paiton helped me put up some ornaments:

And of course the first one was Dora:
Here is our completed tree!
Last night Quinn was kicking pretty hard, so I put Paiton's hand on my belly so she could feel it. She would giggle and say "Baby Quinn is kicking me!" Then she wanted to lay on my belly and give Quinn loves. Such a good big sister already!
And I can't forget that last week we celebrated Baby Quinn with some Martinelli's!
Whew, such a fun and busy weekend!! This is Matt's last full week of school before Christmas break, and he is REALLY excited! :)
